Gangnam Style on Halloween

I celebrated my first Halloween in America! I dressed up as Pikachu and taught my students some of the Gangnam Style dance. At the end of the day day, I also gave a pumpkin, as a gift, to one of my best students!

This week was the first time I heard comments from my students such as, “I love you!” or “This is fun!” and “I’m so excited to learn this!” It felt great to know that the students were engaged in what they were learning on this fun day.

This blog is a reflection from our Dance Daze® in Schools Chan Fellow, Aiyu Li. She is an exchange student from China, and is spending this semester studying abroad in the United States, taking classes at UC Berkeley, and is a development and teaching intern for Dance Daze® in Schools.
